Built for African voices, stories and creativity.

Why BeloPle exists

Africa is full of storytellers, musicians, comedians and people with something to say. BeloPle was built so those voices can be found close to home, by people who understand them, and supported by the people who follow them.

• A real chance to be seen. New creators get room to grow, not only the accounts that are already big.
• Support from your own audience. Your followers can send you gifts, and supporters pay with mobile money in supported African countries.
• Room for opinions, not only entertainment. Q o D gives communities a shared question to answer, country by country and across Africa.

One place for your whole story

How new creators get discovered

You do not need a big following to be seen on BeloPle.

• The Belo feed recommends videos based on what people watch, and it gives newer creators an extra push so their videos can reach people who do not follow them yet.
• Hashtags in your captions link to tag pages, and search finds accounts, videos, posts, hashtags and sounds.
• A question or answer people love on Q o D can bring you new followers.

Your followers can support you

Followers can send gifts on your videos, during your Lives, on your Q o D questions, and on your answers once you have posted a few public videos. Creators who grow can unlock monetization and earn from their content and community, and earnings can be cashed out from the wallet. Supporters buy coins on belople.com with mobile money in supported African countries.

Gifts, coins, cash-out and hosting a Live are for adults 18 and over, and the requirements are shown in the app. Read the creator guide

On the web and in the Android app

Your profile, following, search, messages, gifts, your wallet and Studio, the creator dashboard, work in both places.

Advertising on BeloPle

Businesses and creators can promote a video, a photo or a link. Pick a goal (views, clicks or follows), one country or everywhere, and the interests you want to reach. You pay on belople.com with mobile money or coins. Every campaign is reviewed by the BeloPle team before it runs, and ads are never shown to members under 18.

Safety, in brief

• Members must be 13 or older, and new accounts give a birthday when they sign up.
• Members under 18 cannot go Live, send or receive gifts, buy coins, cash out or see ads, and only people they follow can message them.
• You can block anyone, and report videos, posts, comments and users to BeloPle's moderators.
• You can delete your account yourself from Settings, in the app or on the web.

Read the safety page, the community guidelines and our child safety standards.
