Everything you can do on BeloPle

Short videos

Post videos of up to three minutes for everyone, your followers or only you. In the Android app, record and add colour filters, cuts, text, stickers and a sound. People can like, comment, share and repost.

Photo posts

Put up to ten photos in one post, add a sound and tag a place. They live in the Public feed, where people can like, comment, save and share them.

Text posts

Share opinions, questions and stories in a text post, right next to photo posts in the Public feed.

Daily

Share a photo or video that disappears after 24 hours. Only your followers see it; they can like it or reply to you privately, and you can see who viewed it. In the Android app.

Belo, your For You feed

Belo learns from what you watch and brings you videos from across Africa, including creators who are just starting out. Discover what Africa is creating.

Following

Keep up with the creators you follow in the Following feed. BeloPle suggests people to follow, and private accounts approve their followers.

Hashtags and search

Tap a #hashtag to see videos and posts that use it, or browse trending tags. Search finds people, videos, posts, hashtags and sounds.

Creator profiles

Your profile gathers your videos, posts, name, photo and bio, plus who follows you and who you follow. Go private if you prefer. A blue tick marks official BeloPle accounts and ambassadors who have earned it.

Messages

Chat one to one with text, photos and voice notes; reply, react, share a BeloPle video or delete a message for everyone. A first message from someone new arrives as a request, and you decide who can message you, from everyone to nobody.

Live

Watch Lives in the app or on the web and join in with comments, hearts, gifts and polls. Hosts go live from the Android app, can schedule a Live with a waiting room, pin a comment, hide comments or mute a viewer for that Live, set a goal and get a summary at the end. Going live is for adults who meet the requirements shown in the app.

About BeloPle Live

Q o D, the Question of the Day

One Question. Many Voices. One Africa. Each African country can have its own Question of the Day, suggested by the community and reviewed by BeloPle, and the best can be raised to the Africa Q o D. Answer, react, reply, like the best answers, share them and pick your reading language. A great question or answer can get you discovered: people who love it can follow you and send you gifts (18+). In the Android app.

About Q o D

Gifts

People who love your work can send you gifts, from a Heart up to a Universe, on your videos, during your Lives, on your Q o D questions, and on your answers once you have posted a few public videos. Gifts are sent with coins, bought on belople.com with mobile money in supported African countries. Sending and receiving gifts is for adults 18+.

How creators grow

Wallet and monetization

Gifts you receive become earnings in your wallet, which you can cash out. Creators who grow can apply for monetization and unlock opportunities to earn from their content once they meet the requirements shown in the app. Cash-out is for adults 18+.

Studio analytics

Studio, in the app and on the web, shows your views, watch time, people reached and followers gained, plus your earnings and campaigns.

Advertising campaigns

Promote a video, a photo or a link to more views, clicks or follows, in one country or everywhere. Every campaign is reviewed before it runs, and ads are never shown to under-18s. Payment is on the website, with mobile money or coins.

You stay in control

Block anyone, and report videos, posts, comments and accounts for the BeloPle team to review. Make your account private, decide who can message you, and delete your account yourself from Settings.

Safety on BeloPle

Protections for under-18 accounts

Accounts under 18 cannot go live, send or receive gifts, buy coins, cash out or see ads, and only people they follow can message them.
