What is BeloPle?

BeloPle is a social app built for African voices, stories and creativity. You can watch and post short videos, share photos and text, follow creators, chat, join Lives, post Daily moments that last 24 hours and answer the Question of the Day (Q o D). It is on Android through Google Play and on the web at belople.com.

Is BeloPle free?

Yes. BeloPle is free to download and free to use. Buying coins, for example to send gifts to creators, is optional, and so is paying to promote your content.

How do I download BeloPle?

BeloPle for Android is on Google Play, the official place to get the app. Go to belople.com/download and tap Get it on Google Play to open the official listing.

Is there an iPhone app?

No, there is no BeloPle iPhone app. On an iPhone, iPad or computer you can use BeloPle in your browser at belople.com to watch videos and Lives, post videos, photos and text, chat and buy coins. Daily, Q o D and going Live need the Android app.

What is BeloPle Live?

BeloPle Live lets creators broadcast in real time from the Android app. Viewers can watch in the app or on belople.com, comment, send hearts and gifts, and vote in polls. Hosts can schedule a Live in advance and get a summary when it ends. Going Live is for adults 18 and over who meet the requirements shown in the app.

Can I go Live from my browser?

No. Lives are hosted from the BeloPle Android app. In a browser you can watch Lives, comment, send gifts and vote in polls, but starting a Live needs the app.

What is Q o D?

One Question. Many Voices. One Africa. Q o D means Question of the Day. Each country can have its own question, picked from questions the community sends in and reviewed by BeloPle, and there is also an Africa Q o D. You can answer, react, reply and like answers. When people love your question or your answer, they can follow you and, if you are both 18 or over, send you gifts; gifts on an answer open once you have posted a few public videos. Q o D is in the Android app.

What is BeloPle Daily?

Daily is for moments that do not need to stay forever. Post a photo or a short video, with a caption if you like, and it disappears after 24 hours. Only your followers can see it, and they can like it or reply to you privately. Daily is in the Android app.

What is BeloPle Music?

BeloPle Music, at belople.com/music, is where artists and creators share their songs. Anyone can listen there, and signed-in users can upload their own songs from the website. Uploaded songs can then be picked as a sound in the BeloPle app.

Can creators earn on BeloPle?

Creators can unlock opportunities to earn. Followers can send gifts on your videos, during your Lives and on your Q o D questions and answers. Creators who grow can apply for monetization to earn from their videos too, once they meet the requirements shown in the app. Earnings can be cashed out from your wallet. Gifts and cash-out are for adults 18 and over, and what you earn depends on your audience and your content.

How do gifts work?

Viewers use coins to send gifts on videos, during Lives and on Q o D questions and answers. The gifts a creator receives become earnings in their wallet. Gifts cannot be sent on photo or text posts. Both the sender and the creator must be 18 or over.

How do I buy coins?

Coins are bought on the website, not in the Android app. Sign in at belople.com, open your Wallet, choose Get coins and pay with mobile money in supported African countries. You must be 18 or over. Coins you buy are for spending, such as on gifts, and cannot be cashed out.

Who can use BeloPle?

You must be at least 13 to join, and every new account is asked for a birthday. Going Live, sending or receiving gifts, buying coins and cashing out are for adults 18 and over. Until you are 18, only people you follow can message you.

Is BeloPle available in my language?

The BeloPle app and website are in English. You can post, comment and answer in your own language. In Q o D you can also choose your reading language, to see a question in it when there is one.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings in the app or on belople.com and choose Delete account, then confirm with your password. If you joined with Google and never set a password, you simply confirm. Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone. Payment records are kept for accounting and legal reasons. Full details are at belople.com/delete-account.

How do I report something?

Tap the three-dot menu on a video, or on a Public post in the app, and choose Report; reports go to BeloPle's moderators. To block someone, open your chat with them, tap the three-dot menu and choose Block. A block stops contact between you across BeloPle. More advice is on the Safety page at belople.com/safety.
